My mother dearest likes to really go that extra mile to pamper our family – our little girl has a whole set of porcelain and cutlery from Villeroy & Boch and we’re not far behind either – this time mommy sent us another scented candle by Byredo and two sets of bed linen from Kosta Linnewäfveri.
I’ve already told you about the candles from Byredo Parfums – they’re insanely expensive but worth every penny. The one we had last time was “Tree house”, which is a scent that was created to bring back the same smell and emotions that the designer remembers from his childhood tree house. It had a very intense and specific smell but when lit, it filled the room with the most amazing odor that instantly explained the whole idea behind it. This one is called “Bibliothèque” and even though I haven’t lit it yet, I’m already madly in love. The candle mother gave us now is in the larger size, too, so I can have it lit whenever I feel like it!
When you hear the word “luxury”, what do you automatically think of? I’m sure most people think along the lines of Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel, maybe even Missoni. What I think of? Classic and forever elegant yet simple (and unfortunately for our budget, very expensive) Scandinavian design. Imagine then my happiness when I see the paper bag with “Kosta Boda” (I’m sure most passionate home makers are familiar with the brand and their extraordinary creations) written all over it. What was inside? Two sets of bed linen (and pillowcases) from their textile brand Kosta Linnewäfveri. I’m so lucky to be the daugher of a shopaholic who has such exquisite and timeless taste in style and interior design! Thank you, mommy dearest!
I’ll show you better pictures when I’m done admiring the beautiful packaging and actually make the bed with the sets. Until then – I hope you’re not too green with envy!
Your mother has great taste. It sounds like you would like the perfumers Pengaligon’s reviewed in my blog. True decadence …sometimes you need a little in your life!
