The Presents
The Food – the first photo is from the party we had on Saturday and the second one is from the birthday get-together we had on Sunday.
There’s heart-shaped sandwiches with cognac-cured salmon, chicken balls (two kinds, one of which was an unsalted one for the babies), dip (a homemade tzatziki and a store-bought cheese-garlic dip) & vegetables, (almost) sugarfree banana cookies for the babies, a huge jug of smoothie (yoghurt, banana, blueberries and honey), filled eggs, pigs in blankets and a potato salad. I think that was it… All the babies gathered around the table and kept eating like they had never been fed before in their lives. Needless to say I was thrilled!
The birthday girl playing with balloons
There cannot be a fun birthday without a decent amount of balloons. I’m not taking them down until they start deflating, that’s how much fun I think balloons are!
I admit our apartment isn’t roomy enough to fit 21 guests, but if the guests are as awesome as ours were, having a lot of them in our living room is a thrill!
Sweet little Mia was the youngest one of’em all – she gets to call herself a baby for another month and a half. My kid is officially a toddler now!
Auntie Madiken came over the day before the little lady’s birthday and spent the night. We sat at up until 4.30 a.m. cooking, drinking wine and discussing existential matters. Then got up at 10 in the morning and continued to be awesome. I’m so thankful for all her help and even more thankful for how much she cares about the kid. Having her here was the most heartwarming experience in a while!
Ingrid is back to rocking a short hairdo and looking cute as always!
The Kids – my baby sis’ being the oldest one in the picture.
Our ever-so-gorgeous Svea and her little Bianca reading a book together. I think B may very well be the most well-behaved little girl I’ve ever met. Even though her daddy guaranteed that she could be a real rugrat at home, I think that makes her even more awesome!
Little Lukas loves the camera and the camera quite obviously loves him. Here: sitting in the ball crawl that was the biggest hit of the day. All the kids had a go at rolling around in the little tent and throwing the balls across the room.
The Cake (raspberries, curd & white chocolate) – we forgot to serve it and remembered it when almost everyone had already left. Boy did I feel stupid…
Hanging out with Bianca’s dad, enjoying a chicken nugget
With auntie K – They hadn’t met before but seemed to get along really well. Glad they got to know each other!
Vahva sünnipäev oli ja toidud olid ka maitsvad 🙂
