This summer is turning out to be really busy and we’re absolutely loving it! We had a barbecue yesterday, me and auntie Madiken are going to our friend’s housewarming tonight (you may expect a DIY-post, by the way), then we’re off to Viljandi with Triinu & co. on Friday, Saturday brings a huge get-together with our mommy-group and all our families and when we get back from there on Sunday, it’s time to pack our bags again and head off to our paradise island. A week there, then two weeks in town (have to get my nails done, take the Jellybean to the doctor and H probably needs to work, too…) and we’re flying off to Stockholm to visit my mom (a happy-dance is in order) for a week, then another week in Hiiumaa and at the end of August, we’re off for a long weekend in Finland, visiting family and going for a car meet (NPS big meet in Yyteri) with the Lowlifer car club. I’m sure there’ll be more – I don’t know if I can keep up with all the awesomeness. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining – my life is amazing!
Back to yesterday’s barbecue party – it started off as a spontaneous idea on Monday and we had everything set and planned by Monday evening. We had great food and most important of all – wonderful people as always. We had so much fun, some of it pretty indecent and childish, but quality fun nonetheless. Nothing beats being surrounded by people you can feel totally relaxed around. And learning a thing or two about sign languages isn’t the worst thing either.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, sweet friends. I really came to think today how wonderful it is that we can come together on two days’ notice and create priceless memories together. I truly am blessed. Thanks again!
Jellybean is happy to be in uncle D’s lap – Mia is used to it. đ
Ladies at the grill. Ain’t no man taking over our job!
Our most trustworthy food critics approved of my chicken wings or at least so it seems.
It’s funny how you’ve actually known someone your whole life and even though you barely ever see each other, they’ll always pretty much be the same person they always were. In the best possible way, of course!
Triinu Liis took the prettiest picture ever taken of our Pooch! Adorable, isn’t she?
Those two have a fair chance at becoming BFF’s – they beat each other up, cry, yell, then cuddle and hug, hand each other toys and take care of one another. If that isn’t true friendship, I don’t know what is…
Potato salad and a classic greek salad – nom!
Shroooms – the most perfect BBQ side dish ever discovered by man. Definitely will share the recipe, I’d be a bad person if I didn’t!
Another example of BFF’s…
I’ll admit this is probably one of the ugliest pictures ever taken of me, or it might just be due to the fact that I’m standing next to Little Miss Absolutely Fabulous, but whatever – I had to post this. You know when you already know someone is great and then, after getting to know them better, you’re surprised to find they’re even more awesome than you thought? This happened to me yesterday and I couldn’t be happier.
There can’t be a perfect night without dessert. Here: a Pavlova.
