We covered our living room in plastic wrap yesterday and had friends over for some arts and crafts. We had a wonderful time! I can’t show you the end product yet, but here’s a couple of photos from our little practice session before we got to the real deal. The ladybug was a little confused (“So… let me get this straight: you’re ASKING me to smear this stuff all over the place?”) because it was her very first time finger painting, but she did great. The guests requested my tuna quiche {RECIPE} so that was what we had for dinner. For the first time in her life, Ladybug was upset and cried when our guests left. She just didn’t want to let them go home.
Tip of the day: This {HERE} (Tesa Easy Cover masking tape+film combo) is what is going to make life so much easier when you’re doing crafts with kids. It’s a roll of plastic wrap, that’s already got masking tape attached – you just attach it to the wall, fold the plastic open and cover whatever are you need clean afterwards. It barely costs anything (definitely less than what your nerve cells and time are worth) and it lasts for quite a while. Bang for the buck!
Now it’s that time of the month and I’m suffering from excruciating back and tummy aches. I’m tired, grumpy and in a very fragile state. I don’t mind at all if you all feel very-very-very sorry for poor little moi. If I feel better later, I’ll post a recipe – I’ve got photos of two different dishes lined up for you, waiting to be posted! Toodles!
Wow! Thats a great idea! I hate clean up when we do crafts but this might make me be more creative with kiddos. Thank you for the tip!
Pearls, Diamonds and Everything Else
We just wrapped the plastic together (leaving all the paper plates that we used as palettes, all the pieces of paper and works of “art” inside) and threw it away. One or two little splashes of paint here and there, literally took me two minutes to clean everything up. 🙂
