First we needed to tear off the old wallpaper (which revealed some historical “murals” from when my mother was a teenager, VERY funny stuff, I assure you) and then the builder came and spackled, sanded and finally painted the walls. The blackboard wall is painted with a special paint from Tikkurila (it’s called “koulutaulumaali“, means “schoolboard paint”). I spent half day cleaning out the immense amount of dust and trash that came from the renovation. Then H put up the lamp and I hung up the curtains.
It’s the perfect room for a little girl, isn’t it? Once I have a spare minute or two I’ll paint some clouds on the walls and put up some shelves for her toys and books. Make sure you comment and let me know what you think!
