I’m not a huge fan of beauty blogs – the ones I do read I read because I really like the person behind the blog and the way they write. I hardly ever watch beauty tutorials and I have very little interest, if any, in most beauty product reviews. That’s also the reason you can’t find any of those here. Except when I find something that I fall in love with so hard I’d almost like to marry it a little bit.
Here’s the deal: I have a lot of hair, but since I’ve done bad-bad things to it in the past, my hair punishes me by becoming knotted, tangled and awfully hard to sort out after my head has hit the pillow at night. My sweetheart mother actually pointed at my hair and went “HA-HA! RASTA!” (thanks, mom , really) when she saw what I had at the back of my head after a good night’s sleep. This, together with the fact that brushing my hair is the most annoying and unpleasant thing in the world, makes it hard for me to keep my hair looking even close to decent.
I’ve tried a truckload of different leave-in conditioners and serums (I had my hopes up when Triinu Liis recommended the Garnier Goodbye Damage-series, but their serum did pretty much nothing for my hair), and none of them have REALLY helped detangle my hair. Until I found this baby:
The fine people of Revlon are obviously very proud of their product, here’s what they have to say about it:
” We were the first to create an instant beauty hair product, innovating and offering various different solutions in a single product:
– Detangles, conditions and cares for hair
– Easy to use
– No need to rinse
– Ready to go
New Revlon Professional Equave Instant Beauty enriched with keratin is formulated to hydrate and repair the capillary structure, giving it strength, body and protection.”
Hands down, I have to agree to everything they promise and more. It works great in both wet and dry hair, really does detangle like magic and leaves the hair looking and feeling sleek, shiny and healthy. I woke up the morning after with perfectly knot-free straight hair and thanked the product developing beauty gods at Revlon for saving my life.
No, seriously, it’s great. Buy it!
P.S. The product contains a number of ingredients that aren’t essentially great for your hair (most beauty products do, if you take a closer look). Siloxanes like, for instance, Dimethicone, give your hair that sleek and shiny feel, but all that really is is a coat of silicone (I didn’t spot any parabens or sulfates, so I guess that’s a plus). So if you’re looking for green and clean products, this one probably doesn’t make the cut. If you just want something to make your life easier and make your hair easier to brush or comb without tearing half of it out together with all the knots and tangles, use it.
Have you ever tried this miracle called “Tangle teezer”? I have quite disobedient hair too, but this really makes my life a lot-lot easier! Eliminates all the tangles without literally chopping my hair down. Brushing doesn’t take all my day anymore.
Yeah, I’ve planned to but never really gotten to it. I guess those two would really make a hairbrushing dream-team 😀
seoses su PS-iga: mul sama mure, et tahaks rohkem ökotada ja madikenist inspireerituna ostsingi endale nurme tahke šampooni. see peseb pead täitsa korralikult ja meeldib mulle täiega. paraku ei ole eriti öko ega juuksesõbralik see kogus juuksepuudrit ja -lakki, mis ma endale pähe topin… samas ei teki ilma nende mürkideta pähe soengut, mida ma oleksin nõus kandma. decisions, decisions
ma ei jaksa ega saa munaga möllata, sest mul pole selleks ühtegi vaba hetke – hea, et niisamagi pesta jóuan. a mumst on lihtsalt tähtis teada, mida sa endale peale määrid, et vähemalt kahest sitast vähem sitt välja valida 🙂
